Eric Stevens, MPT, MTC, CSCS
A native of Baton Rouge, Eric received his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from Tulane University in 1997, and his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, in 1999. He has been a physical therapist in Baton Rouge and Gonzales since 1999 and co-owner of Advantage Therapy in Prairieville since 2004. He received his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2005.
Eric has always been involved in sports and fitness, so when a patient introduced him to CrossFit, he realized it was what he had been missing all those years in traditional gyms. He immediately became addicted to the community, athleticism, and drive that is the CrossFit way of life.
Since joining CrossFit, Eric has participated in a variety of challenges to include: multiple local CrossFit competitions, the “Tough Mudder”, the “Spartan Beast”, and the “Go Ruck Challenge”. He became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2013 and is able to use his expertise as a Physical Therapist, his passion for CrossFit, and his natural coaching ability to help fellow athletes achieve their goals.
